deviant art denied one of my commission transactions, and so we talked it out and they gave me a core membership instead.
i don't really think that it's something i'll pay for in the future, but enjoy this nice journal with my old favorite journal skin
i am gonna change my username, though! i talked about it briefly in a past journal, but i didn't think it was worth it to get a premium/core membership just to change my name

digital art is real finicky for me, tho, i still havent really adjusted to my tablet but im working on it

I'm back ! Officially
I've finally bought a new tablet and I'm back on the art train. I already posted something a few days ago, and I'll continue to shortly!
Before I get around to posting regularly, though, I plan on spending a bit of time making new and updated examples for my commission page. I might tweak the prices some, and I'll definitely change things a bit to include prices for things like shading and backgrounds.
Depending on how things go, I may get core to change my username. It's been a few years and romanticpurgatory doesn't really feel like me anymore.
I plan on doing through and cleaning up my gallery soon for a fresh start. I won't be deleting anything, though, just putting it in storage, so if you ever lose anything that I owe you, like an old commission or adoptable design, just note me and I'll send it to you!
Aside from from all that, I might have the occasional stream or art trades.
I also had a whole ton of notifications when I got back so I just cleared them all out in interest of time, but if there's anything you've done over the past few months that you're really proud of and want me to see, link it !

Happy holidays, everyone! I have mostly good news.
Firstly, I should be more active beginning next year. i'll be getting a new tablet within the next few months (march at the latest, hopefully). I also have a few traditional drawings that I like enough to post when I have the time. However, I'm not 100% when I will have the time. This is because of a few things.
School, being the main one (after procrastination). Business classes have been really boring and awful, but there's only two weeks left of class. Next semester I'm only taking fun classes, so I'm really excited. I think I did really well this year. While I have a (really late) project to finish this weekend, I'm caught up in all my other classes. It's pretty incredible, imo. I put in a lot of effort to actually do well this semester, and it paid off.
After that, I'm moving soon! Really soon. Like, a week. Next Saturday I'll be moving in with my significant other and some friends into our new apartment. I'm really excited about it! It's a nice place, and we got it for a really good price. It has two bedrooms and a loft. There's plenty of space and it's in a nice neighborhood. Still, packing's gonna be super stressful, and I'm gonna miss being home. I'll definitely visit my family and pets all the time, but I don't really think it'll be the same.
I'm still looking for a job, which is a bit stressful, but I'll find one eventually. Things have been going really well for me recently, and I hope things have been going well for anyone reading this.

im in a never ending loop of saying ill get back into the community and then never doing it
i havent even touched my tablet in a month, drawing with it was a pain because its broken
all i do is doodle/draw in class, and ive never really been comfortable posting traditional art, but thats really the only art i do
aside from college, ive been looking for a job
i havent been in the best financial standing for quite a while, and my significant other and i are getting an apartment soon with some of our friends
i wouldnt really feel comfortable with them paying my share of the rent, and we could always use the extra money
hopefully after we get moved in i can save the money for a new tablet so i can get back into art
until then, i dont know how active ill be here
